Why The LXO Exists

Qualifying as an osteopath is an important milestone, but it isn't the end of your development.

The years that follow bring experience. You see more patients, encounter more complex presentations and gradually develop your own ways of thinking and working. You may attend courses, learn new techniques and deepen your knowledge along the way.

But experience alone doesn't necessarily lead to development.

Simply seeing more patients doesn't necessarily make you a better osteopath. It can make you a faster version of the osteopath you already are.

To continue developing, there need to be opportunities to question how you think, deepen your understanding, refine what you do with your hands and deliberately apply what you are learning back in clinical practice.

Technique without reasoning is guesswork. Reasoning without technique is theory.

The LXO exists to bring those things together.

We create postgraduate osteopathic education that connects clinical reasoning, osteopathic principles, applied clinical anatomy, palpation and practical technical skill rather than developing each in isolation.

Just as importantly, The LXO provides a professional community in which osteopaths can continue asking questions, discussing cases, challenging their thinking and learning alongside others who are equally committed to their clinical development.

Developing extraordinary osteopaths isn't about knowing more for the sake of knowing more. It's about continually developing how you think, what you understand and what you are able to do with that understanding in clinical practice.
